Dr. Karissa Thacker is a widely respected management psychologist whose focus on helping executives and organizations reach their full potential has fostered sustained leadership and strategic growth. Her areas of expertise include executive development, leadership training, and cultural assessment. Karissa has provided these services to over 200 of the Fortune 500 including UPS, Pfizer, Morgan Stanley, General Mills, AT&T, Exelon, and Best Buy Corporation. Her leadership assessment work has been used in the placement and development of key executives in the retail, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
She has contributed insights regarding the psychology of the workplace to several publications including the New York Times, Washington Business Journal, and Gannett Media. Her research on workplace productivity was a recent feature on Good Morning America and 20/20.
Karissa was a marketing researcher at General Mills in the area of strategic growth initiatives. Her research focused on understanding consumers in international markets and advertising development. Dr. Thacker was a senior consultant at RHR International, a global management consultancy specializing in executive development.
Karissa completed a doctorate in psychology at Spalding University in 1996. Dr. Thacker serves on the faculty at the Lerner School of Business at the University of Delaware in the area of executive development. Her research interests include the psychological aspects of emotional leadership, effective influence, and informed action.
